Tuna Salad Lettuce Cups

Get back to basics with this delicious and nutritious tuna salad recipe! Serve it in crisp butter lettuce, throw it on your favourite crackers, or adorn it with cheese and pop it under the broiler for a quick and easy tuna melt. The options are endless!

Ingredients

  • 1 can wild Albacore tuna 
  • 1 stalk celery, finely diced
  • 1 small shallot, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon capers, roughly chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise 
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped + garnish
  • 6 butter lettuce leaves
  • Squeeze of lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Add the tuna, mayonnaise, celery, shallot, capers, mustard, lemon juice, and parsley to a small mixing bowl.
  2. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Add spoonfuls of the tuna salad to the lettuce leaves. Garnish with parsley, serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • To keep things light and bright, we served our tuna salad mix in lettuce cups. You could also easily serve it on your favourite crackers, on toast, or add cheese and place under the broiler for a delicious and nutritious tuna melt.
  • Prefer salmon to tuna? You can easily change up this recipe using one of our premium cans of wild pink or sockeye salmon.
