Oyster Rockefeller With Kelp

This recipe comes to us from Chris Kantowicz, our COO, who whipped this up for his Valentine’s dinner feast this week! His take on the classic Oyster Rockefeller incorporates our delicious giant kelp flakes for an original umami twist. Trust us, you'll want to add this recipe to your date night repertoire!
Ingredients
- 6 Pacific oysters, shucked
- 2 tsp giant kelp flakes
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- ~2 tbsp panko crumbs
- grated parmesan
Method
- Preheat oven to 450°F
- Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat and saute onion until translucent
- Add garlic and kelp flakes, and continue sauteeing for another 2 minutes.
- Add panko crumbs (enough to soak up all the butter in the pan!)
- Remove from heat and spoon mixture over oysters. Sprinkle some parmesan on top (about 1 tsp per oyster).
- Lay the prepared oysters in the wells of a muffin tray. Bake for 10 mins, or until cheese starts to bubble.
