Holiday Seafood Appetizers | Seafood Recipes

Allison Hepworth - December 21, 2020

Even though we’ve had to say goodbye to parties this holiday season, we’re not letting that stop us from filling up on appetizers! We’ve collected some delicious seafood appetizer recipes that we know you’ll enjoy making with treats from your Skipper Otto order. (If you want to order Canadian sustainable seafood, feel free to join our membership!).

You could even pick out some of these recipes to make virtually with your friends and family and gather over video chat to enjoy them together, 2020-style! It might be the best we can do this year, but at least our bellies will be full of delicious seafood appies.

Mini Salmon Cakes With Sriracha Lemon Aioli

Recipe by: Taste and See

Salmon fillets are combined with onion, fresh parsley, and lemon juice to create a delicious morsel that’s crispy on the outside and soft inside. Dip them in the sriracha lemon aioli for an extra pop of flavour! You can even freeze part of the batch before baking and have them on hand for an easy appie anytime.

Bacon Wrapped Albacore Tuna

Recipe by: Nom Nom Paleo

We love bacon wrapped tuna loins as a main dish, and this bite-sized version is perfect for serving up as an appetizer! Hearty albacore tuna is marinated before being wrapped in savoury, smoky bacon that gets crispy under the broiler. Don’t be surprised if these are the first to disappear.

Canned Salmon Dip

Simple Canned Salmon Dip

Recipe by: Cook The Story

While smoked salmon dip is a classic appetizer, don’t underestimate this version that uses canned salmon. It may be simple to whip up (ready in under 10 minutes!) but it delivers on flavour. Serve it with your favourite crackers and crudites, and feel free to use our canned pink salmon, or canned smoked chum salmon for an extra twist!
