Otto and his long-time fisherman friends Leonard, Fernando, and Bill had a successful first week fishing and sent down almost 300 beautiful Nass sockeye’s. They’ve been dressed (gutted) and their heads were removed by a processor near the fishing grounds.

Shaun is picking them up today and taking most of them to be filleted and flash frozen, but we’re keeping some aside for a fresh fish pickup tomorrow.

Nass sockeye is larger than the Barkley sockeye we had at Thursday’s pickup, and many sushi chefs consider them the creme de la creme of sockeye.

We’re putting 30-50 aside for members. First come (order from the online store) first serve. Delicious smoked salmon is also available both canned and frozen.
