Coho Salmon Patties

Barbecue season is officially here, which means it’s time to fire up the grill and whip up a batch of our coho salmon patties!

Simply grab a pack of our coho salmon spoon meat, a few basic seasonings, an egg, and breadcrumbs, then combine, shape and enjoy. Serve with a fresh summer salad, use it as a base for an easy fish burger, or roll into balls and cook in a light cream sauce - the options are endless!

Servings: 4

Prep Time: ~10 mins | Cook Time: ~10mins

Ingredients

  • 1 portion coho salmon spoon meat (approx 0.7lb)
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • ½ tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp minced chives or dill
  • Olive oil, for cooking

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients to a medium mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.
  2. Using clean hands, shape your salmon mixture into patties.
  3. Add a drizzle of olive oil to a medium grill pan and place over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place each patty into the pan. Cook for approximately 3-4 minutes per side. If cooking on a BBQ, be sure that the grill is well oiled before you begin cooking.
  4. Serve alongside your favourite veggies or use them to make delicious fish burgers.
