It’s time to kick-off the 2014 West Coast fishing season in style, with a premium salmon cook-out!

We are inviting all current and future members of Skipper Otto’s CSF to come out to the Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association in Calgary from 6:30-8:30pm to enjoy our traditional start-of-season free salmon barbeque. All the delicious sustainable seafood products are brought directly from fishermen’s boats to your forks. This is your opportunity to meet your fisherman, Shaun Strobel, before he sets out to sea. You will also meet our newest member of the Skipper Otto Family, prairie coordinator Krysta Cowling, who will be holding regular seafood pick-ups for our Calgary and Edmonton members this summer.

This is our opportunity to say thank you to our members because they allow small-scale local fishermen, like Otto and Shaun, to maintain their independence and continue to fish using sustainable practices. Our members aren’t just simple buyers and consumers of seafood – but investors in the future of sustainable fisheries.
