1,013 fish on their way to Vancouver!

Sonia - July 4, 2013

Otto and the guys fishing up north had 2 more busy days of fishing on the Nass River run yesterday and today!  Together, they caught 149 sockeye, 12 coho, 85 chum, and, get this . . . 767 pinks!  Holy cow, that’s a lot of delicious fish on its way to our members!  Otto reports that there are some especially nice looking fish in the bins this week.  The fish will arrive in time for a fresh pick-up for members on Tuesday, July 9th.  If you’ve never had a fresh pink salmon, you really must try one.  They are absolutely delicious when fresh and come in at a fraction of the cost of a sockeye! They just don’t store as nicely long term as other species and so they have earned a weak reputation when caught, stored long term, and sold by big, annonymous businesses.  But if you haven’ t had a beautiful fresh pink, now is your chance to get one at a special, member appreciation discount of $5 a fish!  Members, watch for details about Tuesday’s pick up coming to your inbox asap!
