We’re delighted to introduce you to our brand new Community Partner in Langley . . .

George’s Gourmet has been an independent family owned and operated gourmet meat shop since 1998. They offer a a wide variety of free range, grass-fed, natural meats aged and cut in store. We’re delighted that George’s Gourmet Meats will begin to distribute CSF member shares at their Langley location starting in February 2016!

We first met Mark Steensma, owner of George’s Gourmet Meats, at the False Creek Fishermen’s Wharf in spring of 2015 when Mark was heading out on a sailboat. He saw our members gathered around for a pick-up and was curious about what we were doing. He immediately loved the idea of our CSF and asked if there was any way he could help out and perhaps have his Langley store become a pick-up location!

Under this new model, members will have the opportunity to place an order for pick up and then select the George’s Gourmet Meats Langley store as their pick-up location. It will be so convenient for our members who live a little farther east and who won’t have to come all the way into Granville Island for pick-ups!

The Community Partnership model is working beautifully for pick-up in locations across western Canada and we’re excited to have George’s come on board as a new partner this year! In addition to offering a super-convenient pick-up location, I know our members will enjoy picking up a some meats, in-house prepared foods, and even dog food while they are at George’s!
